Matibhrama present "HoCoKa"

Matibhrama present their new album "Hocoka". Named after the Sioux sacred circle symbolising the meeting of four directions, the French duo deliver another spellbinding musical narrative comprised of a tribal fusion of psychedelic melodies, ethnic grooves and shamanic chanting.

The result is a grounding connection between ancestral culture and contemporary life - a reminder of the fundamental link between ancient shamanic rituals and modern day psychedelic culture. BMSS Records proudly present "Tribal Lineage 3", a high octane showcase of head honcho Boom Shankar`s favourite label releases of the past 12 months.

Staying true to the label`s holistic philosophy, the 17 tracks cover the entire psychedelic spectrum from day to night, though - it must be said - 2021 has revealed a distinct penchant for more nighttime-flavoured sounds! Nevertheless, Boom Shankar has put together a seamless flow of hallucinatory dancefloor fodder - a powerful trip from Goa-dusted daytime anthems through to profound primordial blasters.

More than a mere sonic journey, the compilation unites the sound and vibe of the worldwide BMSS family, a community of like-minded artists and friends, established label stalwarts and emerging underground talent, exposing and honouring unique producers who have at times stayed under the scene`s wider radar.

Free Download: Why does the universe exist?

In anticipation of our upcoming 222nd BMSS release, here is a freeloader by our French artist The Trancemancer for you.

Originally from the South of France, Damien discovered Psytrance in Goa during a global trip which let him travel around the world in order to participate in the best parties known back then. This experience became a revelation and a kick-off to start working on his own music. First as a DJ before he gave birth to his own live act featuring mainly hardware and from there on to find his true purpose in combining the advantages of a computer together with the benefits of analog synths.

After various pseudonyms he eventually arrived at "The Trancemancer" - a very dancefloor focused Psytrance project with futuristic sounds and engaging voices, a sound very close to Night Full On but with a certain hint of oldschool Goa Trance.

Not one to leave the dancefloor too comfortable, Datacult serves up an eclectic array of psychedelic twists and turns with his new EP.

The result is an innovative sonic landscape in which gritty textures merge with diverse timbres - mad singing monks, eerie FX and supersonic zaps combine unexpectedly, spurred along by powerful basslines and shuffling technoid rhythms.

Audiodact makes a striking debut on the psychedelic trance scene with a bold remix of one of the old-school, all-time classics: Chromosome`s "The Spirit Molecule".

Indo-European duo Psychotropists present a much anticipated follow-up to their BMSS label debut. Though the producers have yet to meet in person, their profound subconscious connection is abundantly clear from the EP’s two brain-melting tracks.

Inspired by the notion of modern digital shamans, the resulting soundscape represents a mesmerising mystical journey. BMSS label boss Boom Shankar is not one to shy away from pushing the boundaries of the psychedelic trance scene mould, and this release is no exception.

An ambient electronic world music live act from Greece, Labros XP (Odiolab) deliver a pair of profoundly evocative tracks for their first release on the label.

Title track "DigitalOne" is an anthemic marching number in which colossal pads paint a mournful but strangely uplifting picture...a haunting trip through nostalgic memories. "Love and Light" is a pulsing ethnic affair that grooves and chimes along relentlessly, generating an undeniable sense of optimism, love and light.

A perfect pair of tracks for a sunny afternoon at a festival, or simply escaping everyday life through a poetic sonic experience.

Narko - Narkolepsy EP

Narko (aka Transpose) returns to BMSS with the brand new Narkolepsy EP. Featuring a couple of psychedelic full-on behemoths, the Canadian producer inundates us with a flurry of modulated synth work set to hypersonic beats. The resulting tracks act like a comb filter for the mind, transcending the subconscious and compelling the listener to contort themselves uninhibited.
