Atesh Biography

Born half Japanese and half Indian in Osaka on Culture Day, he studied neuroscience at Osaka University and grew up with a glimpse of the spiritual world in the microcosm.

Since 2007, he has been active as a DJ and producer, mainly in the Osaka underground, and has performed at many stages with artists like Mad Tribe, Space Tribe, Mad Maxx, Skizologic, Dirty Saffi, Shidapu, Boom Shankar and others into the Kansai region, and has organized various outdoor and club events, large and small.

In 2019, he joined Matsuri Digital, Japan`s strongest psychedelic collective, led by Tsuyoshi Suzuki, known as Japan`s world-class Goa Trance label. Matsuri in Joule is being held regularly by him at Club Joule, one of the biggest clubs in Kansai. In 2024, he joined BMSS Records, a label created by psychedelic trance DJ legend Boom Shankar and based in the music powerhouse of Germany, which is expanding its base across Europe and Asia. The BMSS branch in Japan is expected to expand in the years to come.

While DJing Goa, Psychedelic trance as a category of special scale bass music, under the name Tesho aka Atesh, he pursues the depth of kick-accented 4-beat music. In addition, he has been working as an independent band featuring various tribal instruments and his partner KN1 on vocals, drums and percussion, incorporating elements of multi-rhythms, variations and speed changes such as triplets, 5-beats, 7-beats, etc. as Amartman, and pursues the future of the possibilities of dance music in which frequencies and rhythms interact with each other in a variety of ways.

He is also a permanent DJ/DTM instructor at IDPS Osaka, a DJ school that has been attracting a lot of attention in the media, and is active in various public venues around the Kansai region in Japan.

In his own production Powerholic, in addition to event planning and venue decoration, he also has a studio at home where he works as a mix and mastering engineer, exploring the frontiers of the world of sound quality. He also reveals his side as an Audiophile.

He is also a member of the ADMC, which aims to unite Asian Dance Music culture Conference and create one of the largest dance music conferences in Asia, connecting Asian countries. In 2024, he plans to expand all of his endeavours in India to create a network that can bridge the gap in-between the two countries. In conclusion, he aims to raise the professionalism of the music scene by nurturing the next generation. The passion he brings to contribute to this culture has made him a force to be reckoned with.
