Luminous Biography

Kostas Raptis was born on the 6th of April 1994 in Volos, Greece. He has been in the music industry for over a decade as a saxophone performer and lately as a DJ and music producer.

Since 2013, he has been actively organizing and performing in Psytrance parties in Greece, hosting most of the local events happening in his city. Kostas studied Music in the University of Hull where he studied the saxophone and music production, then he decided to expand his knowledge by studying a Master’s course in Leeds College of Music focused on music performance and production. In 2016, the project Luminous was born, a Psytrance project with a slight old school touch.

The project is focused on bringing high energy levels to the dancefloor, as well as a sense of elevation and light due to the melodic context of his music. His unique production aims for quality and driving psychedelic music with a balance between day and night, maintaining the psychedelic element throughout the whole journey.

Kostas has made 4 releases since 2019 which all of them have hit Beatport`s top Psytrance charts including his latest EP "Chemical Intelligence” which landed 1st. He has also released numerous other collaborations, compilations and remixes. Since 2018 he was a member of Veleno Music Records and in 2022 he joined his home label BMSS Records.
