Fohat: Ministry Of Information Retrieval [Dj Set]

"You must understand the concern of the taxpayers. People want value for money. That`s why we always insist on the principal of Information Retrieval charges. It`s absolutely right and fair that those found guilty should pay for their periods of detention and the Information Retrieval procedures used in their interrogations. So don`t fight it son, confess quickly. If you hold out too long, you could jeopardize your credit rating. Help the Ministry of Information Retrieval help you." [Brazil, 1985]

This mix is heavily inspired by the film "Brazil" and works as a soundtrack for it. It follows the story, the shape and the rhythm: Big objects need big bass; Small objects need delicacy, intricacy and finesse; Fast movement or cutting needs a quick tempo. It has everything a perfect soundtrack should have.

You can expect a journey (140-145bpm) from Psygressive into Psytrance into Full-On and for the first time ever, Fohat included one of his very own tracks. Enjoy!

Dark Soho feat. Orpheus: Re:Form

With two devilishly clever masterstrokes, the enigmatic force behind "No Comment" and "Krunch" returns to his original form, "Dark Soho". Omer Kadosh reexamines the uncommon ground of Goth infused, heavy metal inspired Psychedelic Trance deftly transforming eerie melodies into complex psycho-magnetic emotions with cutting edge production and skill.

Sparingly applied middle eastern samples spiral through metallic elements and futuristic serrated basses. Driving grooves evolve into meditative electrovital progressions. Two densely layered, moody tracks swell and unravel like splashes of black ink in a glass of water. Unique. Distinctive. Classic.

Mastered by Leon Gossler (Tactic Mind) and cover design by Soraya Putra.

02. Dark Soho - Default

Out now: Panorama (Compiled by Dj Alexsoph)

Working with connections from within the BMSS Family as well as personal ones, this CD features a largely European lineup placing newcomers alongside well-known artists like Vertex, Solar Spectrum, Datacult and Elegy.

Alexsoph`s first solo compilation for BMSS Records presents a wide angle view on the space between Progressive Trance and Psytrance but flips it upside down. Using a selection of references cleverly pitched down, Alexsoph creates a space for a deep and hypnotic journey.

Each track merges seamlessly with the next driving, intricate composition. Provocative intros and moving energetic textures are rounded out by no-nonsense throbbing beats and basses. Subtle atmospheres and deconstructed melodies work together to create a distinct depth that never looses it`s psychedelic vantage point. Sparse but well-placed elements manipulate the remaining space to create a low-pitched mysterious quality. Panorama is a brilliant, refreshing reinterpretation of the space between Progressive Trance and Psychedelic Trance.

Boom Shankar: Psyence Fiction [Dj Set 2016]

"It took me a while to come up with something fresh for your ears, but here we go: Psyence Fiction, the latest recorded output from my Mixer. Two hours of mind altering Psytrance. Slightly twisted but fully loaded. Containing some of my favourite tracks of the past season, some gems from BMSS Records, a handful of unreleased blasters and of course some wtf surprises.

Psyence Fiction reflects my night-time approach towards Psychedelic Trance, driven by energy, rolling basslines, intense soundscapes and occasional references to the past. This is my take on the slightly darker side of Trance. Psyence Fiction tells a coherent story and gives you a psychedelic experience that ends in a rather groovy positive mood.

My thanx go out to all participating artists for their master pieces and to all the labels involved for releasing such amazing tracks! And you guys, enjoy this psy-transcendental flight and have a smooth landing...I hope you have a blast!"

Datacult makes the Basstrump great again

PsiloCybian: Mumbo Jumbo

PsiloCybian returns to BMSS with two decadent tracks that teeter ingeniously on the edge of the lunatic fringe. A duet of challenging chattering tracks bounce along over driving funky grooves interrupted only by clever witty sampling and hints of old school Goa Trance.

Though frantic and frenzied these elaborate tracks work both morning and night and are a massive leap forward in PsiloCybians production. Mumbo Jumbo is a delightful macrocosm of complex soundscapes designed for adventurous grown up trippers.
